Can someone explain to me how things like turret and sensor linking work? Does it boost both ships, boost only one, or boost one and penalize the one the power is 'coming' from? Does ship size make a difference? What are the calculations involved in linking statistics? What kind of linking is the best? Are linking modules worth wasting slots for?
If anyone could explain or link me to explanations I will be greatful. At the moment I don't get it.
PS: On an unrelated note, what's the point of sensor dampers at all? I hear they slow targeting, but I could just fit jammers, which STOP targeting! Why bother with dampers at all? ------------

Originally by: Lentia Hired goon, Read carefully, your question has been answered above. You use linking on friendly ships to improve their sheilds and targeting. Dampeners/Jammers are used on enemy ships. Dampeners have a pg of 1 so quite easy to fit on frigs and cruisers. Try and fit 4-5 mutispectral ecms on anything but a battleship and get them to work, it dont work too good.
Thanks for the reply Lentia, but I already know the basics that linking makes your mate better. It's the specifics that confuse me
Beginning to think no one actually knows ------------
